About Husky Productions

Husky Productions was formed in 2001 by Tom Huiskens with a vision of producing quality entertainment for the Sacramento area. Prior to the formation of Husky Productions, Tom served Entercom Sacramento as the "Event Producer" for the Event Marketing Resource Group (EMERG) producing concerts featuring Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, Megadeath, Journey, Foreigner, Kansas, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, PINK, and many other rock and contemporary artists. Tom was also Tournament Director of the Joe Morgan Celebrity Classic, the Toyota Celebrity Players Cup and a member of the Board of Directors for the Celebrity Players Tour for three years. Previously, Tom's career included stints as Director of Operations for the World League Sacramento Surge and continuing on as General Manager of the first US based Canadian Football League team, the Sacramento Gold Miners. He also had a three year run as Tournament Director for Marketing, Sales and Operations for the Raley's Senior Gold Rush.

Tom and Husky Productions involvement with the KSSJ Smooth Jazz Summer Concert Series began in 2001. The combination of great music, appreciative audiences and engaging artists has lead to a successful 9-year run of the series. It is the intention of Husky Productions to continue the legacy as long as Sacramento is willing and supportive. We look forward to many more wonderful evenings listening to the sounds of some of the best musicians in the world right here in the State Capitol.
